Dr Anne-Marie Miller has joined CÚRAM as a Project Manager based in MMI with responsibility for the project: ‘Developing Key Structures and Resources to Support Medical Device Clinical Research in Ireland’. This includes analyses of regulatory pathways and revisions of legislation for complex medical device clinical trials, development of an interactive web portal providing regulatory knowledge and information on clinicians working in areas of interest to the medical devices sector, new E-learning development and coordination of training.
Lead Investigator for the project is Dr Mark Watson (Head of Programmes, MMI), working closely with Professor Matthew Griffin (Professor of Transplant Biology, NUI Galway) and Professor Martin O’Donnell (Professor of Translational Medicine at NUI Galway & Director of the HRB Clinical Research Facility Galway).
Dr Miller brings an impressive mix of experience in research, research coordination and translation in hospital settings, e-learning development, and stakeholder management. She has a BA and PhD in Neuroscience from TCD, followed by postdoctoral positions in TCIN, three years as National Scientific Project Coordinator with the BIOMARKAPD consortium, and most recently Research Coordinator with Dementia & Neurodegeneration Network Ireland.
