Clinical Research Development Ireland uses online infrastructure to coordinate major collaborative research and education programmes with multiple partners and stakeholders. The following example shows part of the online infrastructure of a MMI structured PhD programme involving four universities, over 90 principal investigators and over 20 industry partners ranging from SMEs to multinationals. MMI Clinical and Translational Research Scholars built their own PhD with strong mentor support and use a secure online infrastructure to select research placements, short courses and their PhD projects.
Similar online infrastructures enable CRDI to support other major collaborative research and education programmes.
The MMI Clinical & Translational Research Scholars Programme is funded under the Programme for Research in Third Level Institutions (PRTLI) Cycle 5, and co-funded under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
